ABANDONED IN ALASKA

Film presentation
Sunday, 07.04.2024, 4:30 pm

Time and again, Mirjam Dunkel is drawn to the wide world to escape the hectic pace of everyday life, the life determined by others and the confinement of Switzerland. Today it is a luxury to be able to experience seclusion, freedom and nature in its purest form. Mirjam traveled to Alaska for the second time. This time she wanted to explore even more remote areas, where the grizzly bears are among themselves. To do this, she and a traveling companion took off in a seaplane.

In her talk, Mirjam takes you on her moving journey full of emotions, adventures, encounters with bears, hunger and fears. The team is put to the test – the importance of teamwork and resilience is omnipresent here. You are cordially invited to this evening.

Mirjam Dunkel was born in Meiringen in 1986. Animals have always been her passion. She is a horse trainer and founder of “Wildland Horsemanship”.
